Nestled in the sublime environs of Malenadu, the Jog-Stay at Talavata beckons solitude seekers, nature lovers, architecture enthusiasts, and trekkers. Situated in the midst of a verdant 6-acre rubber plantation between Bangalore-Honnavara national highway, it is at a short travel distance of 20 minutes [9 km] from the famous JOG Falls and 10 minutes [6 km] from the Talaguppa Railway Station. It is also a member of YHAI group.

The Jog-Stay offers a mix of 3 choices for comfortable accommodation for family, large group, student group, etc., with a total occupancy capacity of 40-45. It has a 2-cottage attachment of a mix of 4-room 10 people occupancy and a single cottage of twin bed couples room. The third cottage/dormitory offers 2 large rooms with a capacity of 30. Ample parking space, dining area (inside and outside), and home cooked food are the amenities on offer. Also on avail are shuttle cock court, carrom, and cards. Of note, Jog-Stay offers strict vegetarian diet only.

One can have an array of choices befitting one's interest like “waterfalls, short jungle treks, heritage temples, water bodies (backwaters and dams), sunset vistas” - all within short driving distances from the Jog-Stay. In fact, Jog-Stay's location proximity to spectacular places is the highlight.

Jog-Stay is run by Mr. Jayakrishna, one of the oldest residents of Talavata of Gundumane family. They are into agriculture of pepper, paddy, and arecanut. The village Gundumane was submerged in the backwaters of Sharavathi when Linganamakki Dam was built.
